InBank is an owner-operated, full service bank serving the Chicago area since 1970. It all began back in 1968, when the Illinois Commerce Commissioner of Banks and Trust Companies issued a permit to organize Interstate Bank of Oak Forest. The founders of Interstate Bank of Oak Forest included local residents and area businessmen who sought to fill the need for a high quality, professional financial institution in the south suburbs of Chicago. On June 25, 1970 Interstate Bank of Oak Forest opened its doors for business. In February, 1998 Interstate Bank of Oak Forest became simply Interstate Bank, as the name of the bank was changed and the first branch opened its doors in Tinley Park, Illinois. In May 2004 we opened our second branch in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. This “Professional Banking Center” is a non-traditional bank serving the small business market and has no teller line. Interstate Bank continues to explore growth opportunities in both the suburban and downtown market places. Our mission is to "become partners with small business and counselors to our consumer customers, while differentiating ourselves from the competition by providing superior, quality service." Although we are a bank rich in history, InBank is committed to advancing technologies and products to make each customer's experience with us pleasant, convenient and beneficial. We are your building block for success and whether you are visiting in our lobby or online, we appreciate your business and we are here to serve in any way we can. Elbert F.
